An English Castle by the French Opal Coast
Last Saturday, I paid a visit to Hardelot Castle...
... home of the Centre culturel de l'Entente Cordiale. Until the end of October, this Franco-British cultural centre shows an exhibition about Charles Dickens.
Basically, this is a thirteenth century castle...
... partially rebuilt in Tudor style in the mid-nineteenth century.
Blackberries - well, not black yet!
Back in the Viking Age, the "Mirror Lake" (lac des Miroirs) was a bay.
Now it looks like mangrove!
